DON DRAKE

PRINCIPAL

Background

Don Drake was one of eight children and was born in Buffalo, New York. He soon moved to Costa Mesa, California, where he spent most of his life. He has four children, twin girls, a boy, and another girl. His wife's name is Kathryn and she is a part-time teacher. He now lives in Novato, California.

Education

Don Drake went to UCLA and graduated with a degree in Economics. He played water polo his freshman and sophomore years and took his junior year off. He then came back and played senior year. He was in the starting line up and he received the Honors All-American award. He then went on and received his teaching credential in 1994. Next, he received his Masters in 2000. He taught Economics and Government before becoming Assistant Principal and now Principal at Drake High School.

Hobbies

Don has many hobbies, mostly including being with his kids. His kids like to wrestle with him and just play around with their father. He enjoys playing basketball, golf, and Frisbee golf. He also likes camping and traveling with his family. Don loves fly fishing and just being in the outdoors. Each day he tries to have as much fun as possible, trying to live his life to the fullest.
